Scott Mais at the 2022 Hinman US Team Race Nationals
Thank you so much for your support of my competing in the Hinman (US Team Race Nationals). The event was held in Norfolk, VA, and was the largest team race regatta ever held in the US with 30 teams. Our team consisted of all current Georgetown sailors including myself and fellow NHYC member Wills Cook. The regatta was a Swiss-league format so we raced a variety of teams over 3 days ranging from current college teams, to recent alumni, to teams made up of Hinman veterans. It was quite the weekend and once the dust had settled we ended up finishing in 10th place barely missing out on the quarter-finals. Overall, I had a blast this weekend competing against the best team racers in the nation, and want to thank the Foundation again for their support.
