Reade Decker at the CJ Buckley C420 Team Racing National Championship
Thank you for supporting my sailing at the CJ Buckey C420 Team Racing National Championships. This event is my favorite regatta of the year, allowing my team to challenge itself and compete against the top teams in the C420s.
We started the event with a loss on our first race, attributing this to not yet being in our groove. The day progressed better, as we won the remainder of our races. On day two we entered the semi-final round. Our focus and teamwork allowed us to win our races and advance to the championships. Here we face our other NB4T team. With intense competition, we battled to win the first two races. Our opponents came back to win the third race, but we closed out the championship series with a win in the fourth race to secure our title as C420 Team Racing National Champions.
