Thank you so much for your support of the Newport Harbor High School Sailing Team for the 2022 ISSA Mallory Dinghy Nationals (the double-handed nationals for high school sailing), the weekend of June 4th/5th at Mission Bay Yacht Club.  We qualified for Nationals on May 12th/13th at MBYC in the Pacific Coast Championships by placing 3rd out of 22 Teams. For Mallory, 8 of us travelled to San Diego on Friday to get in a short practice session to get comfortable with the venue and conditions. After typical June gloom in the mornings, we had a beautiful 2 days of racing on Mission Bay with excellent race committee work. 2 of our Team even managed to sneak off to the NHHS prom Saturday night in Dana Point! While we were as high as 2nd at one point in the regatta, we ultimately finished 7th out of 20 teams from around the country and hope to leverage this experience into a higher finish next year. On behalf of our entire Team, thank you for your support for this regatta and your support of our Team throughout the year.
