Marbella Marlo at the 2019 US Youth Match Race Championship (Rose Cup)
This summer, I competed in the 2019 US Youth Match Race Championship (Rose Cup) at San Diego Yacht Club. Rose Cup is unarguably my favorite event of the year, as it is the only regatta where sailors of all skills (laser, high school, c420) come together and compete in a relatively even playing field. It also is one of the only youth events where sailors up to age 21 can compete. The regatta consists of two days of clinic under the direction of Dave Perry, and three days of racing. I was trimming jib for David Wood, along with crew members Max Mayol and Daniel Pegg. We ended up placing 3rd, and qualifying for the 2019 Gov Cup. Thank you for your support!
