I’d like to thank you for the support given to us at the C420 Midwinters at Jensen Beach, Florida. As one of the only eight graders, I was very excited to compete with the best at my first big 420 event. The first day of the competition was the windiest: around 18 knots when we arrived for rigging. However the race committees postponed the race until it died down to more manageable conditions. We ended up sailing in around 13 knots and completed all of the 3 races that day. The second day of the regatta had more favorable conditions for our size and experience: about 6-8 knots on the water. That day we did better and more consistent, with two top 10 finishes. Unfortunately the third day of sailing was canceled do to pretty much no wind in the venue. Even though we did not reach our goal of making the gold fleet, this regatta was a great learning experience and thank you so much for your generous support!
