Shelter Island, New York at the 2023 C420 New England Championship Regatta
I had so much fun, and I learned so much from this regatta. The three days of racing were very light. The most important lesson that I learned at this regatta is that the start is crucial to how you will perform in a race. Although we did not do as well as we hoped, my skipper and I learned so much. We will definately use this knowledge as we continue our sailing careers. Again, thank you so much for making this amazing opportunity possible.
Chicago at the 2023 C420 National Championship Regatta
The venue was beautiful, and sailing on Lake Michigan was an experience I will never forget. The three days of racing were pretty light. The most important lesson that I learned at this regatta is that the first upwind beat is very important to how you perform in the race, but there are always opportunities to come back, so you should never give up. Although my skipper and I did not do well, we learned so much, and we will definitely use this knowledge as we continue our sailing careers. Brant Beach, New Jersey at the 2023 C420 Womens National Championship Regatta
I had so much fun, and I learned so much from this regatta. The first day of racing was 18+ knots. The second day was around 10-12 knots. This was my first time skippering a C420 in significant breeze like the first day. The most important skill that I learned at this regatta is perseverance. We did not do as well as we hoped, but my crew and I had so much fun learning together. We will definately use this knowledge as we continue our sailing careers.
