Heather Condon at the 2023 Lee Family Trophy Regatta
Last October, I was given the unique opportunity to compete alongside ten other accomplished local sailors in the Lee Family Trophy. The Lee Family Trophy is hosted each year by Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club in Long Island, New York, and is a 3 x 3 team race regatta sailed in Sonars. In addition to having a blast sailing alongside our talented team and against teams from around the world and contending with the wide range of wind and weather conditions, we certainly held our own – finishing in second place over all (missing first place by just one foot at the finish of our last race). Thank you to the Foundation for your support – you make competing in these regattas and representing Newport possible for us.
