Thank you for your generous funding that allowed me to travel to Fort Ontario, Canada to race in the C420 North American Championships at the Buffalo Canoe Club. While I had fun with teammates spending a week in Canada, the event did not go as well as I would have liked.  The conditions proved very challenging, with light wind for the two practice days and then strong winds and chop throughout the event.  One day we saw gusts of 25 knots with steep six-foot chop. The conditions were extremely challenging for the four days of racing. I look forward to a better showing next year.
