C420 North American Championship
Peninsula Youth Sailing Foundation, Redwood City, California

My crew Isabella Clark and I placed 20th/105 boats at this event. Out of the 4 race days and 2 practice days there was only 2 races completed in less than 18kts some days even racing in consistent 22kts plus. It was very challenging due to the very strong winds and super strong current on very log courses. The big wind and current caused the waves to be gnarly and
made it difficult to find the next mark.

C420 National Championship
Little Egg Harbor Yacht Club, Long Beach Island, New Jersey

Isabella and I placed 19th/129 boats here. It was fun to experience the town and beaches on LBI. We had a variety of conditions with races in 2kts and up to 20kts some days. This made for a really challenging event with great competition.

C420 South Shore Championship
Sayville Yacht Club, Sayville, New York

The first day of the event was 25kts plus and we had been postponed on land for most of the day and eventually went out for 1 race in those crazy conditions. We flipped on the reach leg in that race and had to play catch up with a boat full of water the rest of the race. The rest of the regatta was lighter and we ended up doing better in that stuff as we were very comfortable in the 6-10kt range. We ended up finishing 11th/77 boats which wrapped up or summer of sailing.

I am very greatful for the foundations help to travel to these events to get better and broaden my sailing experience. Thanks so much for your continued support. I hope to continue my journey in the C420 throughout this year.
